HIGHLIGHTS

Marble Mountains

Outside the central city of Danang is the fascinating Marble Mountains, a series of marble outcrops containing a network of caves housing Buddha shrines and statues. The mountains contain spiritual significance for Vietnamese people, and also played a role in the Vietnam War as they once housed a Communist guerrilla hospital. From the mountains, there are spectacular views across to picturesque Danang Beach.

Mekong Delta

The lush Mekong Delta is the lifeblood of Vietnam, where much of its seafood is sourced and rice, vegetables and tropical fruits are grown. The Mekong River and its tributaries are thriving with activity and life, from floating villages and markets to fishing communities. Experience a fascinating cruise through the region, and sample its fresh, delicious produce. Absorb all the sights, sounds and colour of this fascinating region.

Cu Chi Tunnels

Learn more about Vietnam's fascinating war history on a day trip from Saigon to the Cu Chi Tunnels. From your local guide, find out about the role of this intriguing network of tunnels in the war, and if you choose, venture into a tunnel and crawl through a section. Gain an insight into the living conditions of the soldiers, and into the futile nature of war.

Central Highlands

Vietnam's Central Highlands are home to rolling green hills, interesting villages, orchards, plantations, and the former hill station town of Dalat. The country's famed coffee is grown in the region, along with much of its fresh produce. Enjoy the relatively cooler climate of the highlands, and admire its beautiful scenery as you travel through the area.

Halong Bay Overnight

Experience the serene waterways and stunning rocky outcrops of Halong Bay, a beautiful waterway in the far north of the country that is now a UNESCO World Heritage listed site. Enjoy an overnight stay on a stylish boat, and sample tasty local seafood and produce on board. Stop to explore caves and inlets, and in warmer months, perhaps swim in the beautiful blue-green water.

Hanoi’s Old Quarter

Hanoi's Old Quarter is alive with people, traffic, and bustling market streets. There are wonderful Vietnamese and international restaurants, cool cafes and stylish, European-influenced boutiques mixed with more traditional stores hawking their locally-produced wares. Visit the striking cathedral or stop for a Vietnamese coffee on charming Nha Tho street, and wander the streets full of life and energy, sampling tasty local fare along the way.
