With Captain Alan Raabe at the helm, FeBrina has been exploring the waters of New Britain further afield from Kimbe Bay for over 24 years.
accommodation
Walindi has two styles of accommodation; bungalows which are considered as premium accommodation and Plantation House Rooms are a standard room type.
Bungalows
Twelve individual bungalows with private facilities are roomy and comfortable, constructed with local materials and timbers in a bure style with thatched roofs. These rooms are spread along the beach side of the resort and surrounded by rainforest gardens.
Plantation House Rooms
The Plantation House Rooms are smaller than bungalow accommodation and built in two blocks of 4 rooms each. Each room has private facilities and similar appointments as a bungalow, with each block sharing a common verandah area. The blocks are situated further back from the beach and have garden views.

diving at kimbe bay
Kimbe Bay is home to some of the healthiest coral, as well as some of the largest diversion of both coral and fish anywhere on the planet. Prof Charles Veron, former chief scientist of the Australian Institute of Marine Science had this to say -
"The coral reefs of Kimbe Bay take me back forty years to a time when corals grew in lush profusion, untroubled by the problems that beset them today ..."
Walindi Resort dives over 40 reefs in Kimbe Bay. MV Febrina visits a select number of reefs in Kimbe Bay on most itineraries. Fascinating fish and critters that have been seen at sites such as Susan’s Reef, Inglis Shoal, Restorf Island, Christine’s Reef, Otto’s Reef, Vanessa’s Reef, South Ema Reef, Hanging Gardens, Joy’s Reef and Paluma Reef. Of course, there are no guarantees that you will see them on every dive. What we can guarantee however, is that you will see vastly more than ever! Take your time and dive carefully, and you will be able to better appreciate what is one of the most diverse and healthy ecosystems on the planet.
