Honeymoon Pool Villa
Nestled in its own completely secluded, lush tropical garden, this is your own personal paradise, complete with your own ‘water features’ including private swimming pool, luminous open-air shower, outdoor ‘starlet’ spa bath on the verandah, and couple’s sauna! Featuring beautiful polished tropical wooden floors, rattan-lined walls, elegant tropical furniture, LCD TV, privately-commissioned lighting laced with black pearl shell, and spacious bathroom with raintree vanity top and over-sized double basins, the Honeymoon Pool Bungalow offers an incredible sense of freedom with spectacular indoor-outdoor flow through four wide openings onto the verandah. The Honeymoon Pool Bungalow features a unique design with a broad wraparound verandah and a high, thatched roof providing a fabulous sense of space and island romance, and the broad encircling deck means that sun-lovers can follow the sun all day in complete privacy. This wonderfully secluded, one-of-a-kind bungalow provides easy access to the lagoon via a private gateway tracing a sandy path to Aroa Beach and the blue lagoon. Two Bedroom Beachside Suite
The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Spa offers just 2 Two Bedroom Beachside Suites, and these are in high demand. These Suites are located at beach (ground)-level in our 100 and 200 villages, and are in close proximity to the beach and lagoon, but without direct sea views. They feature a sitting and dining room which opens out onto a spacious verandah. a master bedroom (with king bed) which also opens out onto the verandah, a second bedroom with two single beds, a full kitchen (including microwave, stove top, and refrigerator / freezer), a tiled bathroom with spa bath/shower, and a separate toilet. The sitting room is equipped with LCD TV and DVD, sofa, armchairs, and dining table and chairs that can be used for dining inside or al fresco. The Two-Bedroom Beachside Suites also feature two separate, individually controlled air conditioning units in the sitting room and hallway. These Suites accept up to 4 adults (at no extra room charge), or 2 adults and up to 4 (four) children. The second bedroom can be configured to best suit your requirements, whether that be as two single beds, as two bunk beds (ie 4 beds), or as a double bed for a couple. And the master bedroom can be converted from one king bed to two single beds, in the case of 4 adults who need to be accommodated as 2 x twin share. The Two Bedroom Beachside Suites are ideal for two couples traveling together, or for families seeking the convenience and comfort of separate bedrooms along with a sitting room and full kitchen.
Three Bedroom Pool Villa Onemaru
If you’re a wedding group, family group or corporate group looking for the ideal place and space to enjoy each other’s company in privacy, you have truly found it in Three Bedroom Pool Villa Onemaru ~ ‘Soothing Sands’ Villa.
Here you can enjoy a veritable feast of facilities! This is a completely private 3-bedroom villa complex with its own large freshwater swimming pool (11m x 5m), 2 master bedrooms each with their own spacious ensuite, a 3rd bedroom which can accept either a couple or up to 6 children/teens, a separate spa bathroom, outdoor shower, living / dining room, home theatre system, full kitchen as well as outdoor mobile BBQ kitchen, great sunning and entertainment deck – and the piece de resistance, its very own Games Lounge complete with pool table, table soccer, table tennis, board games and card table.

Grand Beachfront Suite
The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Spa offers just 4 Grand Beachfront Suites, and these are in high demand. The Grand Beachfront Suites are all set on absolute beachfront directly on Aroa Beach (it would be hard to get any closer without being in the water!), and are located at beach (ground) level in our 100 and 200 villages. They feature very large, spacious open-plan interiors with cool terracotta tiles throughout, a super king bed, bathroom with spa bath / shower, private open air shower and open-plan dining and sitting areas. All 4 Grand Beachfront Suites are fully self-contained with a kitchen featuring breakfast bar, microwave, stovetop and refrigerator with freezer. The expansive verandah offers excellent indoor-outdoor flow and leads directly onto Aroa Beach. Each Grand Beachfront Suite also features a private upper sundeck with bird’s eye views of the beach and lagoon, and these upper decks have played host to a number of weddings and private cocktail parties! These Suites accept up to 3 adults (with the third person charge), or up to 2 adults and 6 (six) children or teenagers aged to 16 years inclusive, making them ideal for larger families. The perfect absolute beachfront location complete with full kitchen and extra space to relax and drink in the amazing sea views! Just steps from the water’s edge!
Deluxe Beachside or Beachfront Suite
Located directly on the white sands of Rarotonga’s best secluded white sandy beach, Aroa Beach, with beautiful views of the beach, sparking Aroa Lagoon and the sizzling sunsets across the water. Imagine sipping a long cool cocktail on your own verandah as you watch the tropical sun dip below the horizon – what South Sea island dreams are made of!
Deluxe Beachfront Suites are spacious accommodations with a delightful tropical ambience and are located in the 200 village at beach (ground) level. All feature an indoor spa bath (with overhead shower) along with a private open-air outdoor shower.
The Rarotongan’s Deluxe Beachfront Suites are perfect for those seeking extra space along with an absolute beachfront location, whether couples or families.
Deluxe
Beachfront Suites can now accept up to 4 children or teens aged to 16 years inclusive, so are a fabulous option for families wanting the comfort of extra space, right on the beach.
The Deluxe Beachside Suite is much the same as the above, although does not have direct ocean views.
Beachfront Room
The Beachfront Rooms are located on absolute beachfront, enjoying views across the white sandy beach and crystal-clear blue lagoon, as well as beautiful views of the island’s stunning tropical sunsets. The Beachfront Rooms offer the full range of our standard features and services, and are located in our 300 village at the western end of Aroa Beach. Half of these standard guest rooms are on ground level; the other half are on a second storey. Which one is better depends on whether you prefer direct access to the beach from your verandah, or a vaulted ceiling and views across the beach and lagoon from your upper-storey deck. Whatever the case, if a room with a view is important to you – and what a view! – then one of our Beachfront Rooms is ideal. All Beachfront Rooms are available as interconnecting when requested at time of booking. Larger groups can even have up to 10 in a row!
Garden Room
At The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Spa, our Garden Rooms are nestled within the lush tropical gardens, and offer the full range of standard features and services. Half of these standard guest rooms are on ground level; the other half are on a second storey – but still no taller than a coconut tree! The Garden Rooms are located in our 400 and 500 villages. Garden Rooms – despite being set within the gardens – are about 20 seconds walk from the water’s edge of Aroa Beach and Aroa Lagoon Marine Reserve! All Garden Rooms can be confirmed as interconnecting at time of booking, which is a real boon for families. Larger groups can even request up to 10 interconnected Garden Rooms in a row!

Captain Andy's Bar and Grill
Captain Andy's Beach Bar & Grill offers a casual dining experience with a varied menu. It is named after a famous trading schooner skipper, Captain Andy Thomson. Captain Andy's historic limestone and coral house still stands across from The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Spa and has now been transformed into SpaPolynesia LUXE @ Lime Blossom Villa. Renowned as one of the most colourful seafarers in the South Pacific, Captain Andy's has taken on the personality of its namesake: relaxed, fun and appreciative of the simple island lifestyle. Enjoy a selection of steaks, fish & chips, burgers, pizzas, pasta, omelettes, salads and seafood dishes. The All-Day Menu is available daily from 11am to 9pm - ideal for a casual poolside dining experience. There's also a fun Kids 'Gone Troppo' Menu for children to age 11, and of course, high-chairs are complimentary.
We are happy to cater anytime to guests with special dietary requirements and our menus indicate gluten free, dairy free, nut free, paleo, vegetarian, vegan, raw vegan. Please feel free to talk with our Chef who will also be delighted to assist you.
Reef Fish Cafe
Another great option for private group dining is The Rarotongan’s Reef Fish Café, set beside the Open Kitchen and Captain Andy's Beach Bar & Grill. At the Reef Fish Café a group of up to 35 can celebrate a relaxed event such as a children's birthday party, a more casual birthday dinner or a business luncheon. Lining the sides of the Reef Fish Café are handmade designer lights which pay homage to the jewel-coloured tropical fishes found in Aroa Lagoon Marine Reserve in front of The Rarotongan. The fishes depicted include the exotic Sunset Wrasse, Parrotfish, Picasso Triggerfish, Blue-lined Snapper, Squirrelfish, male Bird Wrasse, Bluefin Trevally and Peacock Grouper. Carved Humpback Whales (recalling those which migrate just past the Aroa Lagoon's coral reef) and a a carving of a pod of dolphins accentuate the authentic Cook Islands atmosphere for any relaxed gathering.
When not being used for private functions the Reef Fish Café provides a relaxed island-style setting with casual bar leaners for all guests to enjoy!
Te Vaka Restaurant
Restaurant is the main dining room at The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Spa. Decorated with elegantly hand-carved oe (paddles) and traditional outrigger canoes (vaka) suspended from the ceiling, TE VAKA also features some of the resort's signature hand-crafted lighting.
Enjoy dining on the the long outdoor deck which sits directly over the water. From here you can even see the fish swimming below you in the lagoon or drink in the sun setting across the sea by evening. Each morning enjoy a tropical buffet breakfast or select some cooked breakfast dishes from the a la carte menu. A great way to start your day in paradise.
In the evening, enjoy an Island BBQ buffet or one of the shows such as 'Legends of Polynesia' Island Night or a Fire Dance Show. TE VAKA is also ideal for conference/incentive groups or larger wedding receptions, and is Rarotonga's largest private function room. TE VAKA'S dramatic architecture and waterfront location make it ideal for enjoying some of the best views on Rarotonga of the sun, sand, sea and sunsets.
Blue Lagoon Marquee
The Blue Lagoon Marquee is Rarotonga's most beautiful private group dining venue, with the island's best views across Aroa Lagoon as the sun dips below the horizon. Of course, sunset views are only visible from the southwest or western shores of Rarotonga, and not from the eastern Muri side which is the island's sunrise coast. Celebrate your milestone birthday, an anniversary dinner with family or your wedding day with a beautiful private dinner prepared by our talented and dedicated chefs.

Moko Kids Club
Named after the cheeky gecko known in the Cook Islands as the 'moko', our Moko's Kids Club has been a family favourite for many years and is regularly hailed as the best kids club in the South Pacific by parents, children and travel industry professionals alike.
A fully-supervised, colourful and superbly-equipped facility, Moko's is not just a large play room, but is also an interactive educational experience, where your children learn about the unique culture and nature of Rarotonga through special hands-on daily kids activities programmes. In the evenings, Moko's hosts Kid's Movie Night, allowing you to relax and enjoy a quiet dinner together.
Kids aged up to 11 years Play Free at the Moko's Kids Club, and under 4's are welcome under the supervision of a parent or caregiver. And Moko's Kids Club is not just open during school holidays - it is open year-round, Monday through Saturday from 9am to 12noon, 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm. And kids even enjoy Free Snacks and Drinks at each kids club session! Babysitting
If you have a child aged under age 4 who wants to join the fun at Moko's Kids Club, or if you want to escape for a quiet, private adults-only dinner, we recommend you hire one of our experienced babysitters. Babysitting is available at the Resort for NZ$15 per hour, minimum three hour hire, with a limit of two children per sitter, plus additional meal and transportation fees. Please allow a minimum of 24 hours notice for us to make your babysitting arrangements.
Banana Beach Playland Crèche
The NEW Banana Beach Playland Crèche offers babies and toddlers 0-4 years fun activities and more in a completely safe environment. Open year-round Monday-Saturday, 9am to 12noon, 2pm to 5pm, and 7pm to 9pm, the Banana Beach Playland Crèche provides babies and toddlers with a fantastic range of toys, baby cots and more, all under the supervision of our friendly staff at The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Spa.
