Solomon Islands/Accommodation/Nugu Beach Resort
Nugu Beach Resort
A slice of paradise in the remote islands off Honiara — pristine water, a beautiful garden, and a fantastic reef just metres from shore.
From the moment you step ashore — green forest, white sand and a quiet bay — Nugu's natural beauty is obvious, and smiling staff greet every arrival with genuine hospitality. Guests have exclusive use of the tropical surrounds and beach, with plenty of privacy for those after a real break from the everyday.
Accommodation
Two beach bungalows have private bathroom facilities, and two garden bungalows share a bathroom. Meals are served in the main dining room or, if you prefer, the open-sided sand-floor dining room — fresh fruit and eggs for breakfast, and lunches and dinners of local vegetables, baked fish, chicken curry and rice or similar.
Activities
Snorkelling, kayaking, a rope swing, village walks (pigs included), and an optional Sunday morning church service round out a stay built around simplicity and the beach itself.
What guests say
"If you are visiting Solomon Islands it is a must to get out of the capital Honiara and visit one of the many islands. Nugu Beach Resort is simple but offers everything you possibly need — a real little paradise, amazing crystal clear warm water to snorkel or swim, and a great place to just relax on the beautiful beach on one of the hammocks. The local caretaker Alfred can't do enough for you to make your stay a special one."
